Don Pedro Island State Recreation Area is a barrier island park accessible only by boat with white sandy beaches stretching for a mile right on the Gulf of Mexico. Park facilities include picnic pavilion, tables, grills, outdoor showers and restrooms.
The Stump Pass Beach State Recreation Area is located at the southernmost end of Manasota Key near Englewood. It has limited free parking and is a great place to get a feel of what Florida was like many years ago. It has no lifeguards, but it’s not crowded and you can walk the beach from the Gulf of Mexico to the Bay and witness spectacular sunsets.

Boulevard in Port Charlotte. There are great amenities
here, including a swimming pool, boat ramps, fishing pier and extensive
recreation and sports facilities.

In 2002, the Charlotte County Parks & Recreation division completed a $2.7 million renovation to Englewood Beach, including a 1,000-foot boardwalk, new shaded shelters, fully accessible pavilions and rest room and shower Facilities, adding to Charlotte County’s wonderful visitor amenities.

Collier, and Charlotte County coastline-with more
on the way! In fact, this area may have more golf per capital than just about
any other place in the country.
